This software is poorly designed, and they offer you this $20.00 coupon so you can try it and see what the books are like. But what they dont tell you in the app store is that you gotta buy their big deluxe hardcover books that cost hundreds of dollars just to get the 20 bucks off. You cant use it for their small paperback books to see if you like their product before diving in full on. Dont waste your time with this junk. If you want to make books, stick with Apple and use iPhoto or Aperture to buy books/cards/calendars. At least Apple isnt tricking anyone into downloading their software the way MyPublisher is. Thank goodness for App Cleaner, cuz thats where this is going. Plonk! BYE BYE, MYPUBLISHER!

I hate when I have to download new software to work on these projects. I have to use the same computer, why is there not a cloud based or online based system? This software is clunky and the update is not notably better than previous versions I was using I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do the foil stamping in the software, and even customer servcie didn’t help when I first asked!!! You have to create a whole new project if you decide to change sizes, it won’t just automatically adjust for the size change. I’ve had multiple crashes while trying to re-sort pages, which takes a dozen click and drag attempts before it engages Adding photos is slow, and there’s no easy way to upload from the software to the “My Projects” section of my account on mypublisher.com and finalize order details later Other printers have kindly notified me when I have an extra blank page that I could fill with a photo free of charge (if I filled an odd number of pages the last backside would be blank becuase of front & back printing) No discount for professional photographers. $10 for logo removal when you’re on a budget ordering just one or two books for clients is awfully high I love you print quality but this software is almost slow enough to make me choose a different printer.

Love Love Love MyPublisher. Ive been making photo books for years and I can say that hands down their photo books are the best quality books out there. The MyPublisher software is easy to use and makes the book creation process a lot of fun. Also, there mini books are really cute and great to carry around and show off to friends

This new software from mypublisher is fantastic. It lets you design pages totally on your own without having to follow templates and it gives you all the design tools you need to do a professional layout job. You can add and move photo boxes and text boxes on every page, rotate them, use photos as backgrounds and do a lot more cool things. You can put photos on top of photos, text on top of photos and move everything around until its perfect. I think this is better than Photoshop or Illustrator-- its easier to use and its free.

Forget it! Use Apple books. Easier to use. Cheaper.

I never got past the payment request of what size book I want, how many I want, etc. I understand wanting to get paid on the backend but you should be more upfront about it! Stick w/ the Pages app!

Keeps crashing and beach balling since I installed Lion OS…..help, Im working on a book and really like the App, but it needs something…. Sykes

I had previously written that I could not get it to work with Lion. I received a call just now from a customer service rep who knows Macs and he walked me through fixing the issue. Simply put I needed to delete the old preferences file. Everything works well now.

I am an intern at a photography studio and am constantly designing photo books and other little cards and photo publications of this sort. I used this for a personal book, and found it very quick and easy to use. It allowed for full customization (of course everything had its price, but it was within a reasonable range). I am saying this, as a full-time college student, so its not coming from a person with a lot of extra cash to spend. I will be giving the book I designed to my fiancé for a Christmas present and thought that I should get working on it quickly to allow for time to print and ship it, but it states in the purchasing menu that it will take only 3-6 days for printing and standard shipping is 8-10 days on top of that. Working in the photography business, I am aware that this is a speedy, and customer-friendly timeframe. I cannot wait for my book to be delivered! I was also thrilled with the coupons for buy one get one free and $20 off a first-time order :) I think that for at home use, and maybe professional use, this is a wonderful tool. I will enjoy playing with it! I would like to see more photo-editing options within the application, but you cant have everything. You will want to edit your photos first and then upload them into the application when creating a book, or other offered product.

this app is merely a sales vehicle that held my iMac captive for several hours, i couldnt reboot. there has got to be something better, use at your own risk!!!

I have used many other companies to order photobooks from and this company has great quality books, the best I have found, this program is easy to use and I just used it for my wedding books!

I been used in a PC and now i got Mac. Is one of the best programs ever.

I have to admid, the wonder app to customize the photo book is overshadowed by the horrible customer service and the fact that even with discount its a bit pricey for what you get -- which probably is fine but you add shipping by fedex ONLY and the fact that you cant order more than one thing, its not worth it. Customer service is sooooo important when you spend so much time preparing a album for a family member, cost helps and shipping is important for the more environmental friendly ones... I would look for another option. My experience: I had a discount, worked all day Sunday and finished in time, went to place order but to spend enough I had to order more than one item, which it doesnt let you do. I email the customer service and got lip service that was really frustrating. Felt like it really matter to them at all.

Crashed twice before the welcome screan even let me through. Delteated and will never used again. Froze my computer and a waste of time.

If you have your pictures on iPhoto, it wont work. pictures arent displayed. Ive contacted support, and their answer was that they know this problem.

I have created beautiful books from this, but the software is buggy and can be extremely slow. Customer service does not appear to acknowledge the problem, looking for a way to blame your computer etc. Now that they have been bought by shutterfly, I hope they pay closer attention to programming. I have wasted many hours and the thing just goes on freeze. Fix it!

Been trying for weeks to upload my project to be printed. Contacting there customer service is a joke they dont think there is an issue. I am using a new MBP which only has wifi and there fix is to use Ethernet to upload( Would have to buy thunderbolt adapter). They have there KeepShot app that only uses wifi why cant the desktop app do the same? Ended up going to another publisher to get my book due this issue. Apple should pull this app from the App store tell MyPublisher can fix all the issue with this application.
